Dear Lilburn Middle School Students, Parents, and Community Members,

Welcome to the Lilburn Middle School website! My name is Dr. Nicole Irish, the proud principal of Lilburn Middle School. It is my privilege to serve in this role, and after six years here, I have witnessed tremendous growth in our students, staff, and families.

My husband and I are the parents of three beautiful children who have all attended Gwinnett County Public Schools. I have lived and worked within this district since 2005, and I know firsthand the difference a positive school experience can make in the lives of students. Lilburn Middle is a shining example of that difference in action.

Over the past six years, I have seen our school community continuously improve our practices and outcomes while deepening our partnerships with local businesses, faith organizations, families, and our district. Together, we have created a vibrant, positive learning environment where students are celebrated for their unique gifts, interests, and experiences—and where those strengths propel them forward in their learning.

We are proud of our students and the richness they bring to our school. They embody the legacy we are all striving to actualize, and indeed, they are our legacy. Our goal remains clear: to provide diverse and rigorous learning opportunities for every child, meeting them where they are and encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, responsibility, and respect.

I am honored to lead a team of dedicated, passionate educators who work tirelessly to support our students. And I am equally grateful for our engaged, supportive school community that rallies around our vision of Lilburn Middle School as a Professional Learning Community—one committed to collaboration and to actualizing the full potential of every Mustang.
