Principal's Message

Dear Lilburn Middle School Students, Parents, and Community Members,

Welcome to the Lilburn Middle School website! My name is Dr. Nicole Irish, the proud, proud principal of Lilburn Middle School. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to introduce myself and to share a bit about our wonderful school community.

My husband and I are the parents of three beautiful children who have all attended Gwinnett Schools. I have lived and worked within the Gwinnett County School District since 2005. We have great schools in Gwinnett, and Lilburn is a great example of that! I know the difference that a positive school experience can make in the lives of our students, and I work to ensure that we establish a great school for the students we teach each day. Serving as principal since 2020 has provided the opportunity to see students, staff, and community members work together to build a vibrant, positive learning community that allows students to reach their full potential. I lead our school in embracing the belief that students have different gifts, interests, and experiences that make them unique, and we can use this to propel them forward in their learning. We work to meet every child where they are as we provide diverse and rigorous learning opportunities for all students.

I am excited about the upcoming opportunities that we have to work together to instill a love of learning within our students. I anticipate that we will continue to foster creativity, while cultivating a sense of responsibility and respect for others. We encourage our students to be curious, to think critically, and to pursue their passions. I am proud to lead a team of dedicated and passionate educators who work tirelessly to create a positive and enriching learning environment that allows this to take place. I am proud to be engaged with an activated and supportive school community where business partners, volunteers, and families work with our school to ensure that we are striving to nurture students’ bright futures. Together, we can continue to make Lilburn Middle School a place where every student has the opportunity to succeed and flourish.
