Welcome Parents and 6th Graders to Lilburn Middle School where Success is our only option!

I am a proud product of Florida where I spent 16 years of my career as a Professional Teacher and 3 years as a School Counselor.  It is an honor to be part of Lilburn Middle School family where we come for TEACHING & LEARNING!

My personal mission is to empower and motivate students to reach their full potential even in spite of life challenges.  I do this by working carefully and consistently with those I come in contact with by introducing them to techniques and habits to be successful.  My hope is each student discovers the internal strength to consistently make positive decisions independently of outside influences.

My hope for every student is they leave my care with feeling personally empowered, more confident, and better learners. I firmly believe that all students can learn with the guidance and support of all team members (parents, teachers, counselors, administrators, and support staff).  During my time with students, I will support them by conducting individual and group counseling, and guidance lessons in some of the following areas:

  • Conflict Resolution using a Peer Mediation Contract
  • Character Building
  • Career Readiness/Choices
  • Teen Lures
  • Academics, Attendance, Behavior
  • Coping Skills, Advocacy for Self, Controlling Anger

The counseling department offers a wide variety of services to parents and students.  Additionally, if a student needs ongoing clinical counseling, there are resources and services available to share with parents accordingly. Therefore, we encourage you to take advantage of these of these services/resources.  More information regarding these resources and services is located of the LMS Counseling Program Service page.  I look forward to working with you and helping to close the achievement gap.

Motto:  YOU GOT THIS!!!
